"Knowledge is Power." Sir Frances Bacon
Knowing what to expect on Chemo Day #2 helped relieve a little anxiety. Blood Work - good. Having a port makes it easy.
Nutrition counseling - Nice to know that I eat as ideally as possible and always have.
Biggest advice on this one: Eat 70-100 grams of protein a day. (Thanks to Rob Smith - I'm already doing this!) Hydrate. More 64 oz of water is not enough when going through chemo. It is suggested that I drink 80 oz. No problem
Pharmacy counseling - Benadryl might help me sleep, but is was suggested that I try Melatonin. I did. It didn't work. I was up at 2:23 am. Calcium will help one "calm down and sleep". Wow. I wonder how that will work on ADHD kids? Vitamin C is a no-no. It repairs cells. We need to destroy them.
Exercise advice:
Do it - Until you feel fatigued.
Keeping muscles built and strong is important to recovery. (Here that Rob Smith?)
Avoid gyms due to germs. Thank goodness I have a gym in my home.
