Today is brought to you by the letter C for CURE. Once breast cancer has spread outside of the breast and/or regional lymph nodes to distant areas of the body there is no cure for it. In some patients it can be kept inactive with the right medications. Sometimes for years. But cancer is a sneaky f**ker and likes to find ways to grow despite meds. Like making its own estrogen. Or developing the ability to grow without estrogen. It’s a highly variable disease with each case being unique. This is part of the reason we don’t have a cure.
